Robinhood CEO explains to Elon Musk why his platform restricted trading in January 2021

The co-founder of Robinhood took to invitation-only audio chat app Clubhouse to defend the investment platform's decision to restrict trading in GameStop and other volatile stocks.

  • Robinhood took the action on Thursday to restrict trading in several speculative names, including GameStop and AMC Entertainment.
  • Robinhood co-founder Vlad Tenev explained the move and defended his platform in a discussion with Elon Musk on the audio chat app Clubhouse.
  • Tenev was grilled by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who asked whether anything "shady" had happened.
What else did Musk quiz Tenev? Read about it here...

I would leave Robinhood if I was a user. What do you think?
